Words are from the lips, actions are from the heart – Rashida Costa,
Nonverbal communication involves the whole-body language used as means of communication. It includes the appearance, posture, facial expression, eye contact, and all other nonverbal gestures. To recognize those non-verbal signals, one must be alert.
On January 22, 2021, CJFI Pampanga held their annual Character Building Activity according to the monthly theme Alertness versus Carelessness. Ms. Daphnee Lorraine A. Marinas, the residential social worker, facilitated the activity. She gave the instructions to the children to divide themselves into three (3) groups.
They played the game called “’ pass the message’’. It is a game where the first person gets to peek at the word and has to act it out to the next member in line. The last person has to guess it, can be a profession, an animal, or a sport. The children enjoyed the activity. It went for about one hour and thirty minutes.
The children built a good and positive relationship with each other. They played together with teamwork and unity. The activity helped the house parents manage the children from misbehaving. They are happy to see the children enjoying themselves.
