Leadership is about taking responsibility, not making excuses – Mitt Romney
Nine (9) beneficiaries from CJFI Cebu joined the “Responsibility versus Dodginess” Character Building Activity (CBA) on April 8, 2021. CJFI never quits in molding the children into responsibilities that will influence the years to come. Meeting accountabilities is essential to thriving and achieving success.
The activity started with an introduction and definition of the monthly theme. And the RINGS of responsibilities which is the main topic of the day. All facilitated by Ms. Ivy Jane P. Cortez at the CJFI Lawn Area. Ms. Ivy introduced three intercepted rings.

First Ring is for the children’s objectives, such as staying safe and healthy and maintaining a good reputation. The Second Ring represents friends, family, commitment to household chores, and spending time with their loved ones. The third is for the benefit of the entire community. The rules they must adhere to in school and as citizens of their country. They challenged the kids to write down one of their responsibilities in each ring. Some took time to form ideas. Others prepared and wrote their answers in a short period. After three hours of open discussion, the event ended with a closing prayer led by Arian Jade Siaboc (client).
The children are of utmost grateful to discover and learn their responsibilities. They were able to share their insights and opinions. It taught them to persevere in the face of adversity, not only for themselves but for everyone.
Let us face it! Avoiding obligations is never a solution to a problem. Bad outcomes may happen in life. Progress is only a matter of choice.
