North Cotabato and Davao Del Sur suffered the worst parallel earthquake that occurred in Mindanao from July until December of 2019.
On January 12, 2020, a late Christmas Party and New-Year treat, an outreach and Gift-giving Program to the from Matanao held at the Phoebus Amusement Park, Tamayong, Davao City.
The activity is one of Pastor Apollo’s social initiatives in reaching out to the destitute children in times of catastrophes, and to aid the traumatic experience that the children had due to the powerful earthquake that struck their hometown.
During the gift-giving, Pastor Apollo personally handed the gifts to the beneficiaries who are still floundering from the trauma of the earthquakes that destroyed their homes and communities.
Pastor Apollo promised to continue the support for Barangay Poblacion, Matanao’s recovery. “Gikan sa among kasing-kasing, sa among kaugalingong gugma, gikan sa Amahan sa Langit, (kami) magpaluyo sa inyong tanan sa kanunay sa inyong pagpanginahanglan,” he said.
Seeing how happy and grateful the families for this unexpected treat after all that they have been through is very overwhelming. Through these, we can see the Bayanihan Spirit that was implanted in our hearts, helping our fellowmen to rise again and overcome every challenge that this life brings. resilience
This activity would not be successful without the guidance of the Founding President, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, the one who first implanted the seed of love into the hearts of all the constituents of the CJFI. Cheers to more years of sowing love, hope, and goodness to all the people who are in need.
