The “Pagkilala sa Natatanging Kontribusyon sa Bayan” (2019 Panata Ko sa Bayan) Awards, SALAMAT PO award was presented to the Children’s Joy Foundation Inc. as the Best Non-Government Organization (NGO) last January 28, 2020, in Quezon City (National Category), and on January 31, 2020 (Regional Category).
The award was given by the DSWD in recognition for CJFI’s effort and a notable contribution in serving Filipino people during calamities and emergencies and helping indigent families to improve the lives of their children, whose “panata” or vow is to share its resources, time, and expertise in providing enhanced special services and better opportunities to abandoned, orphaned, and neglected children.
Ms. Rosemarie Dimagnaong Former Executive Director of CJFI & current CJFI’s Executive Director and Mr. Riene Tagupa received the award from the DSWD.
“To the DSWD, our partner, our government partner, we’re so thankful for all your always and continuing support, for the technical assistance that you are always giving us and guiding us on what to do so that we can adhere to the programs of the government and for the less fortunate, and also for these children who are really in dying need,” said Ms. Rosemarie Dimagnaong, Former Executive Director of CJFI.
“This is very significant support by our beloved Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy because of his love for the children. That is why he continues to support the CJFI.” Mr. Riene Tagupa said.
DSWD Secretary Rolando Bautista also thanked the Children’s Joy Foundation, Inc. Founding President, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy towards his endless help and support for youth and children through the CJFI. “Congratulations to the CJFI for the small quantity award we can give you to recognize your genuine help and the assistance you provide to our destitute brethren and those who are called disadvantaged.” Mr. Rolando Bautista said. “Pastor, I wish you all the best,” he added.
Pastor Apollo also congratulated all CJFI volunteers for the recognition it received from DSWD and pledged that it would not end the aid for disadvantaged children in the Philippines and around the world.
“I thank the Father for the government, through the DSWD for recognizing our efforts to help. And I think this will also propel us to do more for the children of the Philippines,” Pastor Apollo said.
He added, “So, we will continue this good work, and rest assured that we will not stop, we will do more for the benefit of the children.”
For more than 20 years, the CJFI has been one of the most respected and highly regarded SWDA in the country for its best service. As it continues in its advocacy to sustain the needs of all the underprivileged and marginalized children that it caters.
