Nowadays, medical issues are prevalent. Thus, children and adults must be strong and healthy. In CJFI Pampanga, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine (EOD K9) Group visited and had a medical mission for the beneficiaries and staff last December 14, 2021.
At around 8:00 am, the EOD K9 Group together with their family doctor, Dr. Katherine Rhea D. Cabantac, MD, CFP came to the residential center of CJFI Pampanga. A medical mission was scheduled in the center. The kids were asked to settle down as the doctor prepared her things for the check-up. A police officer was tasked to gather up the names and weight of the children in a medical progress note.

Afterward, the doctor checked all their records and consulted them by checking their teeth, tongue, and their back. There were some of the clients who were diagnosed with cough and cold, they were given prescriptions of nasal spray and amoxicillin. Most of the kids had coughs and colds due to the cold weather. The staff was also consulted and given prescriptions. The doctor conducted blood tests to check their diabetes and was also given Vitamin B for their muscle pains.

Right after the consultations, the CJFI beneficiaries entertained the visitors by rendering a “Thank You” song to them. A big thanks to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Group with Dr. Katherine Rhea D. Cabantac, MD, CFP for their warm-hearted support for giving proper medicines and proper consultation for the children and staff of CJFI.
