Celebrations are wonderful opportunities for children to learn shared values, acquire unforgettable experiences and meet new friends.
CJFI Davao Residential Center, in partnership with Jose Maria College (JMC)-Indangan Campus, celebrated a fun-filled event dubbed as the “Family Day and Post-Christmas Party” last January 20, 2017.
Social worker Ms. Emma Lyn Manoay wrote the following objectives that were successfully met during the event: (1) to have a recreational activity where the children is able to enjoy and socialize with other children, center staff and the community, building positive rapport and strong relationships; and (2) to award the best child performer of character theme “Obedience and generosity” for the months of November and December 2016.
Participants of the said event were students and teachers from JMC. Parents and guardians were also invited. Johndel Santos, one of the CJFI Staff, warmly welcomed the participants and urged everyone to look forward to the day’s program which included parlor games and sing-dance-act competition which were facilitated by the school principal.
One of the highlights of the event was the awarding for best child performer for November and December 2016. Maylin Tugaon was awarded for the month of November while Judah Meir Makiling claimed the title for the month of December 2016. Both were acknowledged and were given certificates and tokens.
The event culminated with a sumptuous dinner and a momentum that surely ignited the young spirits of the children to do their best in their every endeavor.
