February is the Love Month and what a great time to give kids the love they deserve through a one-day celebration of youngness and freedom!
In-house children of CJFI Davao Center reveled through the group dynamics and individual activity facilitated by social workers Ms. Honey Jean and Ms. Emma Lyn.
The residents’ dining area was suddenly transformed into an inspiring set up that ignited the creativity of the participants. They were able to enjoy the set of activities that include: Poster Making, Coloring, and Cupcake Decorating.
Their task was to put the concept of love in their artwork as they focused on the theme, “Ati-atihan for the Love Month”. This encouraged the kids to appreciate the Philippines’ tribes, culture and natural heritage.
During the event, Francine Lapuz, 12 years old, garnered the title Best Child Performer for the month of February 2017 with the theme ‘Love vs. Hate’.
“She imbibed the character of being a loving child to her sibling, co-resident and house parents”, Social Worker Emma wrote on her report.
Supervising Social Worker Ma. Luteria Dalisay and Center Head Marchel Eyog also graced the festivity and witnessed the joy of the kids’ little faces.
Love is the main concept of CJFI and throughout the years, its power continues to prove that nothing is impossible. Love not hate, is the greatest gift of all.
