The ACQ International Children’s Day (ACQ-ICD) has become a yearly tradition that many marginalized and destitute children look forward to every 25th of April. This includes the children beneficiaries of the Children’s Joy Foundation, Inc., and other child-care social welfare agencies in the region.
ACQ-ICD 2018 is even grander as more than 60,000 children along with their families came to celebrate in Sonshine Land at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ Compound, Catitipan, Davao City, Philippines.
Transformed into a Disney theme park with their favorite Disney characters, free overflowing food, and treats as well as unlimited theme park rides, Sonshine Land is a dream come true of every child — especially those who grew up in lack and poverty and never experienced a birthday party of their own.
A few days after the grand celebration, the ACQ-ICD organizers brought Sonshine Land to the mountainous regions of Tamayong and Kitbog. They are among the Children’s Joy Foundation Inc.’s adopted communities where thousands of indigent children from the IPs of Mindanao reside.
ACQ-ICD began twelve years ago when CJFI’s founder, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, wanted to dedicate his birthday to all poor children in the Philippines. The celebration was first known as the National Children’s Day (NCD). In 2017, NCD became the ACQ International Children’s Day as different countries began to celebrate and adopt this special day as well.

Truly, ACQ-ICD is a testament of love that will grow and remain in the hearts of these children who as they grow up will also be able to share this love with the rest of the world.
